CLSU GIVES HERO'S WELCOME TO SEA GAMES DECATHLON GOLD MEDALIST

Central Luzon State University gave Aries Bañez Toledo a hero’s welcome last August 29 following his winning the gold medal in the Men’s Decathlon event of the 29th Southeast Asian Games held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. University officials, faculty and staff members, and students took turns in congratulating him and expressing their happiness over his outstanding feat. Part of the hero’s welcome was a motorcade to the Science City of Muñoz and inside the CLSU campus. It was followed by a recognition program held at the RET Cafeteria. Toledo was awarded a Certificate of Recognition and a cash prize. Toledo, 23, a student of the CLSU College of Education and a native of Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija, was lauded by his co-athletes, coaches and by CLSU officials led by President Tereso A. Abella for bringing honors not only to CLSU and to his town and province, but also to the whole country. President Abella awards a certificate of recognition and a cash prize (a big chunk of it from his personal money) to Aries Toledo. With them in photo are (from left to right) Mr. Jose Ariel G. CLSU Celebrates Monthlong CSC Anniversary

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) proudly joined in the nationwide celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC), showcasing its commitment to excellence in public service. Throughout September, the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) organized a series of activities for employees designed to foster camaraderie, strengthen professional skills, and promote holistic well-being among its staff. These events include a diverse lineup, featuring Fun Run, Wellness Day, and Sportsfest, which promote health and community spirit, while Customer Relations Management Training sharpens professional skills. The University also facilitated Philsys National ID Registration and a vital Bloodletting Activity, underscoring its dedication to both its staff and the wider community.

CLSU Receives Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity Award

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Financial Management Services led by Dir. Jinky Parugrug, has been honored with the "Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity" Award for the second consecutive time. The recognition was conferred during the Government Financial Management Innovations Circle, Inc.'s (GFMIC) 16th Annual National Convention, held on September 25, 2025, in Tagbilaran, Bohol. This accolade underscores CLSU's exemplary utilization of the Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS). The eNGAS is a critical software solution designed to modernize government accounting, ensuring all financial transactions are processed with accuracy, reliability, completeness, and timeliness. CLSU stands out among academic institutions, being one of only three universities nationwide, alongside Tarlac State University and Bukidnon State University, to receive this distinction. Other awardees were drawn from National Government Agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs). The award was formally accepted by Mr. John Mark Tangonan, head of the Accounting Office, together with staff from both the Accounting and Budget Office. This achievement serves as a significant affirmation of CLSU's strong commitment to digitalization and its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in financial reporting.
