As a continuous effort in fostering internationalization, the Central Luzon State University (CLSU) and Gandaki University (GU) forged a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) virtually on September 21, 2022. The MOU signing is the result of the perseverance of the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) and the International Affairs Office (IAO) in their constant pursuit to establish a strong linkage with foreign academic and research institutions that will assist in enriching academic programs, strengthen the research functions, and intensify the exposure of students to a different culture. Dr. Edgar A. Orden, University President, and Dr. Ganesh Man Gurung, Chancellor of GU led the MOU signing while Dr. Jay C. Santos, Acting Dean of CASS, served as the witness. “It is our privilege to have established a collaboration with Nepal through your University, and we do have the same vision in developing human resources to generate knowledge and technologies to help uplift the lives of the community and to contribute both our strengths to achieve the sustainable development goals,” President Orden said in his message. Also present in the activity were Prof. Floper Gershwin E. Manuel and Dr. Melanie Tolentino, program coordinators, while Dr. Renato G. Reyes, Vice President for Academic Affairs and concurrent Director of IAO, and Dr. Emil F. Ubaldo, Head of the IAO-International Mobility Unit, joined via Zoom.
