CLSU holds 3rd Food Technology Seminar with Ghent University Prof

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) through the College of Home Science and Industry (CHSI) in partnership with the Philippine Association of Food Technologists - Zeta Chapter conducted the 3rd Food Technology Seminar that featured a lecture on the marketing of agro-food innovations with Prof. Dr. Hans De Steur, faculty at the Department of Agricultural Economics, Ghent University, Belgium, last Dec. 2, 2022, at the Institute for Climate Change Center Amphitheater, CLSU. Prof. De Steur's lecture focused on why and how agricultural marketing plays a vital role in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He highlighted that research on such topics provides an important basis for the decision-making of policymakers and stakeholders in agriculture. The one-hour lecture also delved into his research on genetically modified (GM) crops (e.g. iodine biofortified food) and how it was received as goods by consumers in Uganda. The discussion painted a picture of how marketing is not only about promotion or sales but about creating value for the customers. The event was graced by Dr. Renato G. Reyes, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Director of the International Affairs Office, and faculty members and students of CLSU and Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology.

The choreography showcased Philippine heritage through dynamic movements, vibrant costumes, and storytelling. CLSU Celebrates Monthlong CSC Anniversary

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) proudly joined in the nationwide celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC), showcasing its commitment to excellence in public service. Throughout September, the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) organized a series of activities for employees designed to foster camaraderie, strengthen professional skills, and promote holistic well-being among its staff. These events include a diverse lineup, featuring Fun Run, Wellness Day, and Sportsfest, which promote health and community spirit, while Customer Relations Management Training sharpens professional skills. The University also facilitated Philsys National ID Registration and a vital Bloodletting Activity, underscoring its dedication to both its staff and the wider community.

CLSU Receives Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity Award

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Financial Management Services led by Dir. Jinky Parugrug, has been honored with the "Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity" Award for the second consecutive time. The recognition was conferred during the Government Financial Management Innovations Circle, Inc.'s (GFMIC) 16th Annual National Convention, held on September 25, 2025, in Tagbilaran, Bohol. This accolade underscores CLSU's exemplary utilization of the Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS). The eNGAS is a critical software solution designed to modernize government accounting, ensuring all financial transactions are processed with accuracy, reliability, completeness, and timeliness. CLSU stands out among academic institutions, being one of only three universities nationwide, alongside Tarlac State University and Bukidnon State University, to receive this distinction. Other awardees were drawn from National Government Agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs). The award was formally accepted by Mr. John Mark Tangonan, head of the Accounting Office, together with staff from both the Accounting and Budget Office. This achievement serves as a significant affirmation of CLSU's strong commitment to digitalization and its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in financial reporting.
