The Central Luzon State University through the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA), University Extension Program Office (UEPO), Intellectual Property Office (IPO) and Junior Marketing Association (JMA), in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry - Nueva Ecija Provincial Office (DTI-NEPO), hosted an event titled “Partnership for Sustainable Development: A Business Tradeshow and Business Master Class" at the FPJ Communication Hall on October 1-2, 2024. The event gathered around 2,500 participants, including visitors, students, alumni, and distinguished guests. Its primary goal was to inspire students to connect with micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from Nueva Ecija and explore collaborative opportunities, enhancing their critical thinking and business skills. Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Acting Vice President for Business Affairs, shared an inspiring thought: “This program is not just a mere requirement; it has a ripple effect on all organisms of the business ecosystem" This statement captures how the event went beyond academics, helping students and MSMEs build meaningful connections. The event was also attended by Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs who expressed her gratitude to Mr. Aifee Rei L. Galapon, DTI-NE Division Chief, Business Development for collaborating with CLSU, and commended CBA as well as the CLSU Junior Marketing Association (JMA) for spearheading the activity and for managing event logistics. On the second day, the Business Masterclass, led by the IPO, focused on helping MSMEs protect their business identities. Participants learned about crucial topics such as copyright, trademark, patent, utility model, and industrial design. These sessions provided a foundational understanding of intellectual property, emphasizing its significance in building and safeguarding strong brands. By the end of the masterclass, attendees felt more empowered to manage their brands effectively, equipping them for future success in the marketplace. In closing, the event not only highlighted the importance of protecting business identities but also reinforced the vital role of education and community in fostering innovation and growth. It served as a platform for knowledge exchange, where students gained insights directly from MSME owners, and entrepreneurs discovered fresh perspectives from the next generation of business leaders. #SievingForExcellence

#Pailaw2025 #SievingForExcellence
