VP for Academic Affairs is 2025 Outstanding Muñozonian
Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs of Central Luzon State University, has been recognized as one of the 2025 Outstanding Muñozonians by the Wag-Wag Club for her dedication to education, science, and public service. The awarding ceremony was held on December 29, 2025, at the Science City of Muñoz Gymnasium during the 76th Anniversary of the Wag-Wag Club. The Club bestowed this honor to celebrate individuals whose leadership and service help shape Muñoz’s progress and shared future. This recognition highlights Dr. Velasco’s efforts in advancing academic leadership and community-driven initiatives in Muñoz and beyond. It also holds personal significance since her mother, Marieta Mendoza Recometa, a midwife by profession, was similarly honored by the Wag-Wag Club as an Outstanding Muñozonian in 1967. The award continues a legacy of service spanning generations. Receiving this award underscores that the university’s objectives remain connected with the community’s needs, promoting progress through education and civic duty.
