Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has once again been recognized for its exemplary internationalization efforts, receiving the prestigious Internationalization (IZN) Champions of Nation-Building and Sustainability (ICONS) Awards 2024. The award, organized by the Commission on Higher Education-International Affairs Service (CHED-IAS), was presented today, December 16, 2024, at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City. Representing CLSU, Dr. Parsons N. Hail, Director of the International Affairs Office, accepted the award on behalf of University President Evaristo A. Abella. The recognition highlights CLSU as one of the country’s leading Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with international rankings, as evidenced by its achievements in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings (Reporter Status), THE Impact Rankings, and the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI). President Abella expressed his heartfelt gratitude to CHED-IAS for acknowledging CLSU’s leadership in internationalization among Philippine HEIs. He commended the dedication and hard work of the university’s faculty, non-teaching staff, students, alumni, farmer-partners, and other stakeholders who contributed to this milestone. He emphasized that these accomplishments reflect CLSU’s commitment to aligning its academic, research, and community programs with global standards to promote sustainable development and nation-building. CLSU remains steadfast in advancing global initiatives through its integrated efforts in academics, research, and community engagement. CLSU, DBM Region III Convene for FDU Meeting

To ensure efficient budget utilization, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Region III conducted a Full-Time Delivery Unit (FDU) meeting at the Central Luzon State University (CLSU) New Administration Conference Room on February 26, 2026. The meeting served as an avenue to evaluate the university’s financial and physical performance. Particular scrutiny was applied to the status of ongoing infrastructure projects funded under the General Appropriations Act (GAA). University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella spearheaded the presentation, highlighting the university’s key milestones and fiscal accomplishments from the preceding year. To further validate the infra projects, a technical team from the DBM—composed of Chief Budget and Management Specialist II Ms. Adoracion Q. Mangalino, and Specialists Ms. Andrea Anne R. Tulabut and Ms. Arnelie R. Guiao—conducted on-site inspections of both ongoing and completed physical infrastructure developments to ensure compliance with government standards and timelines. The key officials present were Vice President for Administration, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Director of Financial Management Services Office, Ms. Jinky Parugrug, Director of Strategic Planning and Infrastructure Management Office, Mr. Ryan Esteban, Director of Administrative Services Office, Dr. Cheryl Ramos, and Director of Human Resource Management and Development Office, Mr. Jonathan Gurion, to provide data-driven insights and respond to specific inquiries regarding their respective functional areas. The session concluded with an open forum, further reinforcing CLSU’s commitment to transparency, collective decision-making, and good governance.

CLSU, Atolita Farms Corp. Partner to Boost Dairy and Livestock Research

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through the Small Ruminant Center (SRC), formalized a strategic industry–academe partnership with Atolita Farms Corporation through a ceremonial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing. The collaboration aims to strengthen innovation, improve production systems, and support the advancement of the goat industry through shared expertise and collaborative initiatives. The event was led by University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella and joined by SRC Director Neal A. Del Rosario and Ms. Leny Lyn M. Del Rosario. While the Atolita Farms delegation was headed by Chairman Mahmut Koray Erimez, alongside CEO Johanna Erimez, Chief Financial Officer Edwin Valencia, and Chief HR Officer Jopen Cobangbang. The MOU is a non-financial framework agreement but it highlights CLSU’s proactive engagement in livestock sector modernization and national food security. By bridging the gap between the classroom and the field, the University continues to create meaningful opportunities for faculty and staff researchers, and the broader agricultural community through responsible industry partnerships. #SievingForExcellence

Green Cobras Sustain 1st Runner-Up Campaign in SCUAA III

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) Green Cobras have once again proven their athletic strength after officially keeping its standing as the Overall 1st Runner-Up during the last day of the State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) III Regional Games 2026. The Green Cobras delivered a strong performance across various sports, bagging a total of 171 medals: 73 Gold, 52 Silver, and 46 Bronze, highlighting their dedication, teamwork, and skills. During the closing ceremony held today, February 27, CLSU Sports Director Assoc. Prof. John A. Agaton officially received the trophy on behalf of University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella. This victory belongs to the Green Cobras whose months of rigorous training, relentless perseverance, and passion-driven play fueled their triumphant journey to the podium. Sssslay, Green Cobras!
