CLSU Joins PASCN for Collaboration and AI Discussions

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), as an active member of the Philippine APEC Study Center Network (PASCN) participated in its General Assembly on June 11, 2025, at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City. Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for Business Affairs, represented CLSU and proudly presented the university's significant contributions through programs like the Techno Village Development Program, Ambulant Vending Program, and RICE-UP. Notably, as the sole woman leader in the assembly, Dr. Romualdo's presence underscored CLSU's commitment to inclusive leadership. Prior to the assembly, participants also attended the symposium titled "AI for a Sustainable Tomorrow: Policy Innovations for APEC and the Philippines” which co-organized by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS)-PASCN and the University of the Philippines System, the symposium delved into leveraging Artificial Intelligence for green development, smart governance, and innovative policies across the Philippines and APEC economies. Alongside Dr. Romualdo, the General Assembly brought together various PASCN member institutions, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange. Attendees included representatives from esteemed universities which include Mr. Christopher Ed C. Caboverde (Asian Institute of Management), Dr. Geoffrey M. CLSU Celebrates Monthlong CSC Anniversary

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) proudly joined in the nationwide celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC), showcasing its commitment to excellence in public service. Throughout September, the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) organized a series of activities for employees designed to foster camaraderie, strengthen professional skills, and promote holistic well-being among its staff. These events include a diverse lineup, featuring Fun Run, Wellness Day, and Sportsfest, which promote health and community spirit, while Customer Relations Management Training sharpens professional skills. The University also facilitated Philsys National ID Registration and a vital Bloodletting Activity, underscoring its dedication to both its staff and the wider community.

CLSU Receives Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity Award

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Financial Management Services led by Dir. Jinky Parugrug, has been honored with the "Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity" Award for the second consecutive time. The recognition was conferred during the Government Financial Management Innovations Circle, Inc.'s (GFMIC) 16th Annual National Convention, held on September 25, 2025, in Tagbilaran, Bohol. This accolade underscores CLSU's exemplary utilization of the Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS). The eNGAS is a critical software solution designed to modernize government accounting, ensuring all financial transactions are processed with accuracy, reliability, completeness, and timeliness. CLSU stands out among academic institutions, being one of only three universities nationwide, alongside Tarlac State University and Bukidnon State University, to receive this distinction. Other awardees were drawn from National Government Agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs). The award was formally accepted by Mr. John Mark Tangonan, head of the Accounting Office, together with staff from both the Accounting and Budget Office. This achievement serves as a significant affirmation of CLSU's strong commitment to digitalization and its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in financial reporting.
