Meamette Y. Rosario | Training

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through the University Extension Center (UEC), sealed a partnership with LGU Talavera and Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija for the implementation of the Techno Village Development Program (TVDP) in a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing held on April 24 and July 7, 2021, respectively. Mayor Nerivi S. Martinez led the MOA signing in Talavera together with the Municipal Agriculture Officer Mercy Pabula and farmer-partners Mr. Reynaldo C. Hilario and Mr. Ronnie E. Onarse. The TVDP is expected to be of great help in their municipality to further the development of their farmers and likewise improve their agricultural productivity. Meanwhile, before MOA signing in the Science City of Muñoz, the Sangguniang Panlungsod composed of City Councilors, Head of Committee on Agriculture, and the City Agriculturist passed Resolution No. 2021-071 authorizing Mayor Nestor L. Alvarez to represent the LGU to enter into an agreement with CLSU regarding the TVDP. The TVDP is a five-year unified extension program that aims to bring CLSU generated technologies to the villages using various extension modalities. Moreover, it pushes for the transformation of communities into a hub where families can attain far-reaching socio-economic development and develops a model that will hasten countryside development.
