CLSU Maestro Singers Wins 5 Awards in 2 Int'l Choir Contests

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) – Maestro Singers bagged five awards in two different International Choir Competitions held in Japan and Taiwan on July 29 to August 02, 2022, respectively. The CLSU Maestro Singers’ perfect harmony made them reap three major awards under Category V during the 2022 Tokyo International Choir Competition in Harumi held at Dai-ichi Seimei Hall, Tokyo which was broadcasted live via YouTube. The awards include Category Winner with a score of 89.40, Gold Prize Award, and Audience Prize Award for the highest number of “likes” on YouTube. Also, on the recent release result of the Taipei International Choral Festival, the group clinched two awards – the Category Winner for Virtual Choir Competition and the Gold Award with a score of 90.15. The CLSU Maestro Singers presented their masterpiece version of “Paraiso” written by Ryan Cayabyab and arranged by Christopher Borela. Their prize includes a trophy and a certificate. CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.

CLSU Maintains Strong Global Standing, Ranks 69th in 2025 AppliedHE

In the latest edition of the AppliedHE Public and Private University rankings, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reaffirmed its strong global standing by securing the 69th position in ASEAN Region and the 4th rank among public universities in the Philippines. CLSU has been recognized for its high ratings in key areas, including Employability, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Cutting-Edge Research, Community Engagement, Internationalization, and Institutional Reputation. This accomplishment underscores CLSU's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community development. The 2025 AppliedHE ASEAN Rankings saw a notable increase in participation, featuring 100 public and 100 private universities from across the ASEAN region. #SievingForExcellence #CLSUGoingGlobal

AFTERMATH AT CLSU | Restore and Rebuild

The recent typhoon brought challenges to Central Luzon State University, leaving visible signs of its impact across the campus. These photos highlight the resilience of the CLSU community as we come together to restore and rebuild. The administration would like to express its sincere gratitude to the CLSU personnel and students who went above and beyond in assisting with the cleaning and clearing operations, as well as to those in the kitchen who prepared meals for our students.
