The Central Luzon State University retained its status for the ISO 9001:2015 certification after passing the second surveillance audit administered by the external auditors from SOCOTEC last May 12, 2022, via Zoom. The external auditors led by Mr. Marvin Gruesco assessed the Quality Management System of the university in the provision of advanced and higher education services, research services and extension, and technical advisory services to ensure that the university is complying with ISO standards. During the exit conference, Mr. Gruesco presented the positive findings and recommendations of auditors which include the effective and efficient leadership and commitment of the Top Management, commendable accomplishments and awards received by the organization, continuous and smooth implementation of infrastructure, admirable number of topnotchers, and familiarity of auditees on the process. Meanwhile, University President Edgar A. Orden expressed his gratitude to the auditors and committed that the recommendations were considered and that the University will use them as a guide in taking action. He also ensured that CLSU will continue to provide quality services to the community and to the people it serves. “Rest assured that the quality of service that we are providing to our students, our constituents, and other stakeholders will continue to carry on with this obligation and will sustain the quality of excellence as expected from us,” President Orden said. Moreover, he also acknowledged the CLSU team led by Dr. Angelita Seeping for the efforts in accommodating the auditors and in preparing the needed documents. The surveillance audit is a regular process conducted by the SOCOTEC, an international body providing management systems assessment and accrediting ISO certification services, which will assist the institution to prepare for its recertification audit next year.
