CLSU Produces 3 Topnotchers, Exceeds Nat'l Passing Rate in the Veterinarian Licensure Exam

Three graduates of the CLSU-College of Veterinary Science and Medicine (CVSM) topped the recently concluded Veterinarian Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) last March 29-31, 2022. Dr. Jose Eldon Sumeldan emerged as the top 2 in the said exam garnering a score of 84.76 percent and joining him in the roster of topnotchers are Dr. John Patrick Gicaraya as top 8 and Dr. Vladimir Aguada as top 9 with a score of 83.12 and 83.03 percent, respectively. They are among the 43 graduates who successfully passed the said exam yielding an institutional rate of 63.24 percent which exceeds the national passing rate of 47.45 percent. Moreover, it is also noteworthy to mention that the university got a passing rate of 93.75 percent for first takers.   Meanwhile, in the national level, 288 out of 607 examinees passed the Veterinary Licensure Exam.

CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.

CLSU Maintains Strong Global Standing, Ranks 69th in 2025 AppliedHE

In the latest edition of the AppliedHE Public and Private University rankings, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reaffirmed its strong global standing by securing the 69th position in ASEAN Region and the 4th rank among public universities in the Philippines. CLSU has been recognized for its high ratings in key areas, including Employability, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Cutting-Edge Research, Community Engagement, Internationalization, and Institutional Reputation. This accomplishment underscores CLSU's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community development.
