CLSU Ranks 18th as the Best University in PH

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) continues to uphold the role of research and development as it pushes for quality and excellence in service and as a testament, it has been ranked 18 as the best university in the Philippines based on EduRank.   In terms of field of specialization, particularly in the Philippines, CLSU ranked 2nd in Veterinary Medicine, 5th in Agricultural Science, 7th in Biology, 10th in Environmental Science, and 10th in Liberal Arts and Social Sciences.   Meanwhile, CLSU garnered a 67 percent acceptance rate and admission, published over 476 scientific papers indexed, and accumulated an estimated 4,326 citations from topics like biology, environmental science, veterinary medicine, liberal arts and social sciences, and agricultural science.   Over 200 universities in the Philippines were included in the said ranking which measured the university research outputs, non-academic prominence, and alumni influence.   EduRank.org is an independent metric-based ranking of 14,131 universities from 183 countries. It uses a proprietary database with an index of 44,909,300 scientific publications and 1,237,541,960 citations to rank universities across 246 research topics.

CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.

CLSU Maintains Strong Global Standing, Ranks 69th in 2025 AppliedHE

In the latest edition of the AppliedHE Public and Private University rankings, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reaffirmed its strong global standing by securing the 69th position in ASEAN Region and the 4th rank among public universities in the Philippines. CLSU has been recognized for its high ratings in key areas, including Employability, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Cutting-Edge Research, Community Engagement, Internationalization, and Institutional Reputation. This accomplishment underscores CLSU's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community development. The 2025 AppliedHE ASEAN Rankings saw a notable increase in participation, featuring 100 public and 100 private universities from across the ASEAN region. #SievingForExcellence #CLSUGoingGlobal

AFTERMATH AT CLSU | Restore and Rebuild

The recent typhoon brought challenges to Central Luzon State University, leaving visible signs of its impact across the campus. These photos highlight the resilience of the CLSU community as we come together to restore and rebuild. The administration would like to express its sincere gratitude to the CLSU personnel and students who went above and beyond in assisting with the cleaning and clearing operations, as well as to those in the kitchen who prepared meals for our students.
