CLSU Retains ‘Reporter Status’ in the 2025 THE World University Rankings

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) is among the 16 Philippine Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) recognized by the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings (WUR) 2025, achieving ‘Reporter Status.’ In its second year of inclusion in THE WUR, #CLSU retained its status, indicating that while it has made significant progress, it has yet to meet one of the key metrics—specifically, the required number of Scopus-indexed publications—to qualify for a full ranking. The WUR metric for research publications in Elsevier’s Scopus-indexed journals requires universities to produce 1,000 publications over five years, with a minimum threshold of 150 publications per year. CLSU continues to pursue strategic efforts to meet this metric while strengthening its research output. THE WUR is a global performance tables that judge research-intensive universities across all their core missions: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. Its performance indicators include the following five areas: Teaching (the learning environment), Research (volume, income and reputation), Citations (research influence), International outlook (staff, students and research), and Industry income (knowledge transfer). CLSU Bithay Sining Dance Company Bags Gold at the 2025 World Mask Dance Competition in South Korea

CLSU Celebrates Monthlong CSC Anniversary

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) proudly joined in the nationwide celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC), showcasing its commitment to excellence in public service. Throughout September, the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) organized a series of activities for employees designed to foster camaraderie, strengthen professional skills, and promote holistic well-being among its staff. These events include a diverse lineup, featuring Fun Run, Wellness Day, and Sportsfest, which promote health and community spirit, while Customer Relations Management Training sharpens professional skills. The University also facilitated Philsys National ID Registration and a vital Bloodletting Activity, underscoring its dedication to both its staff and the wider community.

CLSU Receives Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity Award

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Financial Management Services led by Dir. Jinky Parugrug, has been honored with the "Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity" Award for the second consecutive time. The recognition was conferred during the Government Financial Management Innovations Circle, Inc.'s (GFMIC) 16th Annual National Convention, held on September 25, 2025, in Tagbilaran, Bohol. This accolade underscores CLSU's exemplary utilization of the Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS). The eNGAS is a critical software solution designed to modernize government accounting, ensuring all financial transactions are processed with accuracy, reliability, completeness, and timeliness. CLSU stands out among academic institutions, being one of only three universities nationwide, alongside Tarlac State University and Bukidnon State University, to receive this distinction. Other awardees were drawn from National Government Agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs). The award was formally accepted by Mr. John Mark Tangonan, head of the Accounting Office, together with staff from both the Accounting and Budget Office. This achievement serves as a significant affirmation of CLSU's strong commitment to digitalization and its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in financial reporting.
