CLSU Secures 25 Gold Medals at SCUFAR III

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) faculty and staff demonstrated their exceptional athletic prowess and tenacity in the recent State Colleges and Universities Faculty Association of Region III (SCUFAR III) Friendship Games, securing a total of 25 gold medals, 43 silver medals, and 32 bronze medals. University President Evaristo A. Abella expressed his full support for the event, enthusiastically cheering during several games and activities held from August 20 to 22, 2024. The SCUFAR III fostered unity among the participating SUCs from the region namely Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT), Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU), Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC), Bulacan State University (BULSU), Central Luzon State University (CLSU), Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU), Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA), President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU), Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), Tarlac State University (TSU), and the Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU). #SCUFAR3 #UnityInDiversity #HEIsInRegion3

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has been recognized as the 16th best university in the Philippines in the latest EduRank Edition. In 2024, the university produced a total of 78 research publications and garnered 1,362 citations, thereby maintaining its status as the leading research institution in the region. In terms of specialized fields, CLSU attained notable rankings: 2nd in Animal Science, 3rd in Veterinary Science, and 8th in both Biology and Chemistry. CLSU Receives Agricultural Tractor Donation from Agri-Component Corporation

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) received a four-wheel-drive agricultural tractor with a rotavator donated by the Agri-Component Corporation on March 3, 2025. University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella and College of Agriculture Dean Dr. Alona T. Badua formalized the donation through a memorandum of agreement signed with the representative of the Isabela-based corporation, Vice President Eugene T. Gabriel. The official turnover followed at the College of Agriculture, marking a significant partnership in advancing innovative agricultural practices. The donation aims to bolster agricultural education and development at CLSU, the alma mater of Agri-Component Corporation President Mr. Elmer Baquiran. Dr. Abella expressed heartfelt gratitude for the generous contribution, highlighting that the equipment will significantly enhance studentsโ€™ hands-on training and complement their theoretical learning, preparing them for future roles in the agricultural sector. Aside from the tractor, the Corporation will provide farm machinery monitoring services along with orientation and training sessions for farm operators to ensure the proper use and maintenance of the equipment. #SievingForExcellence

As the SCUAA III 2025 officially concluded, the CLSU Green Cobras secured the 1st Runner-Up title from 2nd Runner-Up last year, bringing home an impressive 63 Gold, 57 Silver, and 60 Bronze medals, a testament to their unwavering dedication, teamwork, and excellence. Prof. John Agathon, Sports Director of CLSU, received the trophy on behalf of University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella. The trophy symbolizes the hard work, dedication, and relentless passion poured into months of rigorous training by every Green Cobra who proudly represented the delegation. The CLSU administration and community extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the dedicated student-athletes, trainers, coaches, kitchen staff, communication team, drivers, nurses, and monitoring team for their unwavering commitment and invaluable contributions to the success of the Green Cobras. Please note that the medal tally is final based on the official record of the CLSU Sports Development Office (SDO) and Monitoring Team. While there is a discrepancy with the medal count released by PSAU, the matter has already been forwarded to the organizers for their correction. Congratulations, CLSU Green Cobras!
