CLSU Strengthens Collaboration with DOST-III for the Poultry Industry

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) through the Socio-Economic Research and Data Analytics Center (SERDAC) strengthened its collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology – Regional Office III (DOST-III) by forging a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in support to the poultry industry on March 13, 2024, at the Administration Conference Room. Through the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) 4.0 Industry-Level Assistance (ILA) of DOST, the faculty researchers of CLSU-SERDAC will assist in the implementation of the project entitled: “Strengthening the Competitiveness of the Priority Industries in Region III through the Adoption and Integration of Industry 4.0 Technologies” by mapping and analyzing the supply and value chain of the poultry industry and provide possible interventions to improve the production in Central Luzon. Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University of President, and DOST-III Regional Director Dr. Julius Caesar V. Sicat, CESO III, led the MOA signing with Ms. Maria Celia M. Fernando, CLSU Project Leader and DOST Nueva Ecija Provincial Director Ms. Leidi Mel B. Sicat, SETUP Manager as witnesses. Also in attendance are Dr. Edgar A. Orden, Vice President for Research and Extension; Dr. Anna Maria Lourdes S. Latonio, SERDAC Director, Mr. Amiel T. Carreon, DOST Senior Science Research Specialist, and some faculty researchers and staff from SERDAC.

CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.
