CLSU Submits 6 Programs for AACCUP Accreditation

A preliminary visit by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) is now underway to evaluate six (6) curricular programs: PhD in Plant Breeding, PhD in Agricultural Entomology and PhD in Soil Science offered by the College of Agriculture, Master in Business Administration and BS Entrepreneurship offered by the College of Business Administration and Accountancy and BS Textile and Fashion Technology offered by the College of Home Science and Industry. The online accreditation activities from May 23-27, will involve review of documents and virtual tour of facilities per program. The availability and level of adequacy will determine the program’s eligibility for Level 1 accreditation. In his message, University President Edgar A. Orden thanked the local accreditation task force and the accreditors for taking part in this important academic exercise to continuously improve the curricular offerings of the university and to fulfill its mandate to provide quality education. “All of these are manifestations of our desire to make our programs better, and to provide excellent service to our primary stakeholders, the students,” said Dr. Orden.
