CLSU Techno Village Program Supports NE Farmers through ItikPINAS

With its mission to transform rural communities, the Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Techno Village Development Program (TVDP), distributed 1,500 improved mallard ducks, known as ItikPINAS, to farmer partners in Nueva Ecija, specifically Aliaga, Talavera, and Science City of Muñoz on May 6, 2025. This initiative will provide beneficiaries with additional income opportunities and sustainable livelihoods. The program includes the provision of high-quality ducks, along with essential technical support from CLSU experts. The 1,500 distributed ducks, valued at approximately 370 pesos per duck, were already three months old and productive layers. The turnover was led by Dr. Aldrin E. Badua, University Extension Program Office Director, along with program head Mr. Armando C. Lagasca, Head of UEPO Technology Promotion Division, and attended by the University President and TVDP Program Leader, Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, with six beneficiaries and agricultural representatives from Talavera and Science City of Muñoz. The ItikPINAS is a genetically superior Philippine native layer duck recognized for its uniform appearance, high and consistent egg production (averaging 257–266 eggs per year), disease resistance, and adaptability to the local climate. This initiative is part of CLSU’s broader efforts to promote agricultural innovation and community development through technology transfer and partnerships with local stakeholders. #PartnershipForTheGoals

TESO Continues CAT Promotion Through Pencil Donation Drive

Passed from the hands of hopeful dreamers to the hands of young learners, the Testing and Evaluation Services Office (TESO) continues its promotion of the CLSU Admission Test (CAT) while extending support to the primary learners of the DepEd-CLSU Elementary Laboratory School through a Pencil Donation Drive themed “Ang Lapis Mo, Ang Susulat sa mga Pangarap Ko” on September 28, 2026. University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella led the distribution of 1,300 pencils to 600 pupils, alongside Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, Head of the Testing and Evaluation Center Dr. Elmer D. Dela Rosa, and School Principal Jocelyn De Guzman. The Pencil Donation Drive forms part of the CAT promotion campaign and was made possible through the contributions of examinees who took the previous CAT.

CLSU, Soroptimist International Launch ATE GOES AGRI Scholarship for Female Agriculture Students

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Office of Student Affairs (OSA), officially inked a Memorandum of Agreement with Soroptimist International of Metro Manila Northwest District to establish the ATE GOES AGRI Scholarship Program: Advancing Growth, Resilience, and Inclusion through Education. The MOA signing was led by University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, Dr. OSA Dean Irene G. Bustos, and District Director Ms. Jennifer Joan Bayot. The event was witnessed by Ms. Josephine D. Cariño. The educational assistance program empowers financially disadvantaged young women pursuing agriculture degrees by building their technical and leadership skills to prepare them for careers in sustainable agriculture, food security, and community development. This partnership will benefit five qualified female students from the CLSU College of Agriculture who demonstrate financial need. Each scholar will receive a PHP20,000 stipend for the academic year. The CLSU-OSA will facilitate the program's implementation, tasked with screening applicants, verifying academic status, monitoring scholars, and managing progress reports. This new partnership underscores a shared commitment to breaking financial barriers for women in agriculture, equipping the next generation of female leaders to drive innovation in their communities.

CLSU Employees Celebrate CSC Month Through Wellness Programs

The employees of Central Luzon State University switched into their athletic mode as the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO) organized the CLSU Employees’ Sports Fest from September 21to 28, 2026, in solidarity with the nationwide celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary. Beyond the competitive spirit on the court, the HRMDO also facilitated a seminar on Rules and Administrative Cases in the Civil Service and provided free medical laboratory packages for university personnel. Together, let us celebrate public service through unity, teamwork, and healthy competition.
