Jan. 17, 2023

Jonard Barlaan and Meamette Y. Rosario | SCO

To showcase the matured technologies of the university and entice more technology adopters, the Central Luzon State University (CLSU) through the University Extension Center brought the products of Research and Development (R&D) initiatives to the THRIVE Central Luzon Innovation Summit as part of the celebration of the National Science and Technology week held at The Orchid’s Garden, San Fernando, Pampanga from November 29 to December 1, 2022.  The technologies showcased include the Andali Rapid Test Kits, Lepton-site, AnthracKnows, Choco Goat’s Milk, and Nutribar, among others. These were developed through the support of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) to CLSU.    The aforementioned test kits captured the interest of exhibitors as these technologies have a direct bearing on the agriculture sector in terms of quality products and yield gains that would keep up with population growth.    With the DOST as an active partner of the CLSU in R&D initiatives, the said innovations have been developed to help the university thrive in its goal of transforming the community through the generated technologies.    This year, the innovation summit was participated by 10 prestigious Higher Education Institutions in the region with 223 delegates from DOST, Small and Medium Enterprises, Local Government Units, and other stakeholders visited the CLSU booth.
