COLLEGE EXHIBITS, AND PROFESSORS OF THE DAY : USHER IN 2019 ALUMNI HOMECOMING

Officials of the Central Luzon State University and the CLSU Alumni Association, Inc. (CLSUAAI) led the opening ceremony of the two-day 2019 Alumni Homecoming which was held February 8 at 8:00 a.m at the University’s Multipurpose Gym.             The alumni employed in the university and those from other agencies/institutions, other CLSU faculty and staff, and students graced the opening program. The alumni activities were ushered in by the opening of exhibits put up by the eight colleges of the University which showcase products, as well as information about their programs, activities, strengths and their successful alumni; and the ‘Professor of the Day’ activity which involves invited alumni who will share their experiences and success stories to the students of their respective mother colleges.             Dr. Tereso A. Abella, CLSU president, in his welcome remarks, acknowledged the attendees especially the Professors of the Day and other alumni whom he said are modern day heroes. “The video footages shown in the Prayer and National Anthem audio visual presentation are among of the highlights of accomplishments of CLSU. Ang CLSU ay sumusulong dahil din sa suporta ng ating mga alumni at Professors of the Day na nagsi-share ng kaalaman at nagbibigay ng inspirasyon sa ating mga estudyante,” Dr. Abella said.             For his part, Prof. Nemesio V. Torres, CLSUAAI President, in his opening remarks, thanked the CLSU management for its all-out support to the CLSUAAI. He also recognized the Professors of the Day and all the alumni and other attendees.             Dr. Edwin D. Ibañez, Alumni Relations Office (ARO) coordinator, presented the 16 Professors of the Day.             Meanwhile, Dr. Abella is hosting a dinner and socials in the evening of February 8 dubbed as President’s Night.             The Alumni Homecoming and General Assembly Meeting will be held on February 9. It will be highlighted by the giving of awards to all alumni who excelled in various fields.

CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.

CLSU Maintains Strong Global Standing, Ranks 69th in 2025 AppliedHE

In the latest edition of the AppliedHE Public and Private University rankings, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reaffirmed its strong global standing by securing the 69th position in ASEAN Region and the 4th rank among public universities in the Philippines. CLSU has been recognized for its high ratings in key areas, including Employability, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Cutting-Edge Research, Community Engagement, Internationalization, and Institutional Reputation. This accomplishment underscores CLSU's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community development. The recent typhoon brought challenges to Central Luzon State University, leaving visible signs of its impact across the campus.
