DA SECRETARY DAR SPEAKS ON THE FORUM AIMED TO BRING INNOVATIONS AND MODERNIZE THE AGRICULTURE SECTOR

Agriculture Secretary William D. Dar was guest of honor during the “Forum on Unleashing Innovation in Modernizing the Agriculture Sector’ last August 29. The forum was held at the RET Amphitheater. Above photo shows the Secretary delivering his message to a big audience from the academe, and from various sectors mostly farmers and fisherfolks, entrepreneurs, and leaders of Cooperatives. He emphasized the programs and activities to be carried out by the DA under his leadership that will innovate, strengthen and benefit the agriculture sector of the country. He also addressed questions posed by mostly farmers such as those that relate to what the government/DA could do to help them cushion the impacts of the recently implemented “Rice Liberalization Law (RA 11203).” CLSU President, Dr. Tereso A. CLSU Bithay Sining Dance Company Bags Gold at the 2025 World Mask Dance Competition in South Korea

The CLSU Bithay Sining Dance Company, one of the cultural groups in the university achieved a remarkable feat on the global stage by winning the Gold Prize under the group category (International Division) during the 2025 Andong Mask Dance Festival and World Mask Play Competition, held from September 25 to October 6, 2025, in Andong, South Korea. Under the artistic direction of Associate Professor Adonis Voltaire M. Villanueva, CLSU Bithay Sining Dance Company impressed both the audience and judges with its award-winning performance. It highlighted the artistry, discipline, and cultural depth of Filipino dance by combining tradition and innovation. The choreography showcased Philippine heritage through dynamic movements, vibrant costumes, and storytelling. CLSU Celebrates Monthlong CSC Anniversary

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) proudly joined in the nationwide celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC), showcasing its commitment to excellence in public service. Throughout September, the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) organized a series of activities for employees designed to foster camaraderie, strengthen professional skills, and promote holistic well-being among its staff. These events include a diverse lineup, featuring Fun Run, Wellness Day, and Sportsfest, which promote health and community spirit, while Customer Relations Management Training sharpens professional skills. The University also facilitated Philsys National ID Registration and a vital Bloodletting Activity, underscoring its dedication to both its staff and the wider community.

CLSU Receives Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity Award

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Financial Management Services led by Dir. Jinky Parugrug, has been honored with the "Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity" Award for the second consecutive time. The recognition was conferred during the Government Financial Management Innovations Circle, Inc.'s (GFMIC) 16th Annual National Convention, held on September 25, 2025, in Tagbilaran, Bohol. This accolade underscores CLSU's exemplary utilization of the Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS). The eNGAS is a critical software solution designed to modernize government accounting, ensuring all financial transactions are processed with accuracy, reliability, completeness, and timeliness. CLSU stands out among academic institutions, being one of only three universities nationwide, alongside Tarlac State University and Bukidnon State University, to receive this distinction. Other awardees were drawn from National Government Agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs). The award was formally accepted by Mr. John Mark Tangonan, head of the Accounting Office, together with staff from both the Accounting and Budget Office. This achievement serves as a significant affirmation of CLSU's strong commitment to digitalization and its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in financial reporting.
