DHVSU Transfers Chairmanship of CIRPS to CLSU

Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) led by Dr. Enrique Baking and Central Luzon State University (CLSU) headed by Dr. Edgar A. Orden held a ceremonial transfer of the key of responsibility for the Center for Interinstitutional Research and Policy Studies (DC-SUC III/CIRPS) held at the CLSU R&E Amphitheater on December 11, 2023. CLSU President Orden delivered an acceptance speech acknowledging the challenge of being the DC-SUC III/CIRPS Chairperson and pledged CLSU's commitment to play a mentoring role to other universities. Meanwhile, CHED OIC-Regional Director Ms. Lora L. Yusi served as the guest speaker and challenged all SUC Presidents of Region III to increase their number of Centers of Excellence and Center of Development, attain 100 percent COPC in the region, and reach the SUC Level 5 status. She also expressed her expectation for the CIRPS to serve as a partner of CHED in achieving these objectives. The event was graced by other SUC Presidents withing the region including Dr. Jameson Tan (Bulacan Agricultural State College), Dr. Teody San Andres (Bulacan State University), Dr. Feliciana Jacoba (Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology), Dr. Anita David (Pampanga State Agricultural University), Dr. Max Guillermo (Tarlac Agricultural University), Dr. Arnold Velasco (Tarlac State University), Commodore Joel Abutal (Philippine Merchant Marine Academy), and Rev. Fr. Edgardo Sigua, VP for Academic Affairs of Bataan Peninsula State University.

CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.

CLSU Maintains Strong Global Standing, Ranks 69th in 2025 AppliedHE

In the latest edition of the AppliedHE Public and Private University rankings, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reaffirmed its strong global standing by securing the 69th position in ASEAN Region and the 4th rank among public universities in the Philippines. CLSU has been recognized for its high ratings in key areas, including Employability, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Cutting-Edge Research, Community Engagement, Internationalization, and Institutional Reputation. This accomplishment underscores CLSU's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community development. AFTERMATH AT CLSU | Restore and Rebuild

The recent typhoon brought challenges to Central Luzon State University, leaving visible signs of its impact across the campus. These photos highlight the resilience of the CLSU community as we come together to restore and rebuild. The administration would like to express its sincere gratitude to the CLSU personnel and students who went above and beyond in assisting with the cleaning and clearing operations, as well as to those in the kitchen who prepared meals for our students.
