GOLDEN DYNASTY UNIT I TAKES GRAND SLAM FEAT

Dec. 10, 2021

The Educator | CED

A collective effort from the College of Education, University Science High School and Agricultural Science and Technology School assembled a magical run for the Unit I Golden Fighting Lynx, dominating all other units to take home the Grand Slam feat. The Unit I garnered 112 gold medals, which is enough to distance itself from the potential usurper in the College of Agriculture who led the medal tally even after the second day. However, clutch performances from the Athletic department and the Football team who won 38 and 11 gold medals respectively, served as the key in the final day for the Lynx to clinch the three-peat feat. “Grand slam na rin kami dito sa Athletics, at talagang pinaghahandaan talaga namin itong Intrams. Puspusan talaga ang ensayo namin. Thankful ako at nasuklian ang hirap.” Sprinter Gabriel Toledo said in an interview. The Tankers delivered once again for the Unit I after swimming its way as the highest medal contributor for the Lynx with 42 gold, and 23 silver medals in their sport event. “Masaya pa rin naman kami at nakapagcontribute kami para sa Unit natin kahit hindi kami gaano nakapaghanda. Thankful na rin lalo na at overall champion tayo.” Tanker Sofia Gaddi said in an interview after winning six gold medals for the Lynx. Along with the 112 golds, the Lynx also secured 80 silver and 56 bronze medals. However, in the combat sports category which features the Taekwondo, Karatedo, Arnis and Pencak Silat, the Unit I was able to secure 13 gold medals. Unit I’s bet for Mr. and Ms. Intramurals also won two silver medals as Yuan Biolago Cabico and Sofia Isabelle Gaddi secured the second place at the first day of the event.
