MaFa revives mushroom production through CLSU TVP '

Members of the Mabuhay Farmer’s Association (MaFA) conducted a benchmarking activity to Cabisuculan Mushroom Growers and Farmers Association (CMGFA), a beneficiary of the CLSU Technology Village Program (TVP), to learn their best practices in mushroom production on January 18, 2023, at Brgy. Cabisuculan, Science City of Muñoz. Mr. Marlon Diga, a farmer-partner and a member of the Cabisuculan Mushroom Growers and Farmers Association (CMGFA) shared their practices and techniques acquired on mushroom spawn and fruiting bags production from the experts of CLSU-Center for Tropical Mushroom Research and Development (CTMRD).   The said activity was spearheaded by the University Extension Center (UEC) as a follow-up training held last December 15, 2022, wherein 25 participants were trained on the rural-based mushroom enterprise as part of the TVP in expansion areas.   Moreover, after the benchmarking activity, the CMGFA granted 1,000 fruiting bags to MaFA to start their venture in the mushroom enterprise.   These undertakings are part of the establishment of rural-based enterprises to enhance the livelihood of each cluster in the TVP.

CLSU Celebrates Monthlong CSC Anniversary

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) proudly joined in the nationwide celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC), showcasing its commitment to excellence in public service. Throughout September, the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) organized a series of activities for employees designed to foster camaraderie, strengthen professional skills, and promote holistic well-being among its staff. These events include a diverse lineup, featuring Fun Run, Wellness Day, and Sportsfest, which promote health and community spirit, while Customer Relations Management Training sharpens professional skills. The University also facilitated Philsys National ID Registration and a vital Bloodletting Activity, underscoring its dedication to both its staff and the wider community.

CLSU Receives Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity Award

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Financial Management Services led by Dir. Jinky Parugrug, has been honored with the "Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity" Award for the second consecutive time. The recognition was conferred during the Government Financial Management Innovations Circle, Inc.'s (GFMIC) 16th Annual National Convention, held on September 25, 2025, in Tagbilaran, Bohol. This accolade underscores CLSU's exemplary utilization of the Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS). The eNGAS is a critical software solution designed to modernize government accounting, ensuring all financial transactions are processed with accuracy, reliability, completeness, and timeliness. CLSU stands out among academic institutions, being one of only three universities nationwide, alongside Tarlac State University and Bukidnon State University, to receive this distinction. Other awardees were drawn from National Government Agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs). The award was formally accepted by Mr. John Mark Tangonan, head of the Accounting Office, together with staff from both the Accounting and Budget Office. This achievement serves as a significant affirmation of CLSU's strong commitment to digitalization and its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in financial reporting.
