The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) received a commendation from the Nueva Ecija (NE) Provincial Government, through Governor Aurelio ‘Oyie’ M. Umali, for the momentous achievement of being included in the list of top Asian universities by the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Rankings 2022 last April 13, 2022, at Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija.
President Edgar A. Orden, together with Dr. Armando N. Espino Jr, VP for Research and Development, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, VP for Business Affairs, and Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, College of Science Dean and representative of Dr. Renato G. Reyes, VP for Academic Affairs, represented CLSU for the said event and received from Gov. This was made possible through Resolution No. 154-S-2022 of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan session held on March 10, 2022, which was unanimously approved by the Sanggunian, certified and attested by Atty. Norberto D. Coronel, Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and Emmanuel Antonio M. Umali, NE Vice Governor and Presiding Officer, respectively, and signed by Gov. Umali.
Gov. Umali in a short message said that the ceremonial awarding was intended to fully acknowledge CLSU as an exemplary higher education institution in Nueva Ecija as it gives honor not only in the Philippines but in the whole of Asia, “something to really be proud of as a Novo Ecijano,” he said.
He also mentioned that “The institution has produced a lot of graduates who are now contributing and helping in the different sectors of the society, and that is also worthy of recognition locally and nationally.”
Meanwhile, in a conversation with Gov. Umali, President Orden has expressed his appreciation to the NE Provincial Government for the recognition given to CLSU. He assured the Governor that the University will continue to persevere in providing quality education and impactful R&D results for the development of lives of more Novo Ecijanos.
