New FAI President Vow to Advance the Welfare of Faculty

The new set of CLSU Faculty Association Incorporated (FAI) officers led by Dr. Roy Searca Jose P. Dela Cruz, took their oath of office in a ceremony administered by University President Dr. Edgar A. Orden on October 26, 2023 at the DHTM Hall. During the event, President Orden recognized the vital role of the faculty association in pushing the agenda of the administration leading to all the notable accomplishments of the university. He also encouraged the new set of officers to partner with and support the next administrators and continue their passion and dedication for the welfare of the students and success of CLSU. To end his term as faculty regent, outgoing President Prof. Randolf Warren Gregorio T. Mayo II graced the event and formally transferred the gavel as a symbol of leadership and responsibility to the new set of faculty representatives. Consequently, Dr. Dela Cruz as the new faculty regent accepted the responsibilities attached to his position and vowed to advance the welfare of the faculty members for a more progressive CLSU with the help of his officers and all the faculty members they represent. Forming the new FAI officers are Dr. Virgilio Viernes (Vice President), Dr. Michael Mabalay (Secretary), Dr. Fernan T. Fiegalan (Treasurer), Prof. Dina Romano (Auditor), Ms.Jennylynne Lubrin (Business Manager), Assoc. Prof. Ma. Magdalena Galang (Public Relation Officer), and the other board members include Dr. Rubigilda Alili, Dr. Winnie Villanueva, Dr. Jeorge Dela Cruz, and Dr. Alvin T. Reyes.

CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.

CLSU Maintains Strong Global Standing, Ranks 69th in 2025 AppliedHE

In the latest edition of the AppliedHE Public and Private University rankings, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reaffirmed its strong global standing by securing the 69th position in ASEAN Region and the 4th rank among public universities in the Philippines. CLSU has been recognized for its high ratings in key areas, including Employability, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Cutting-Edge Research, Community Engagement, Internationalization, and Institutional Reputation. This accomplishment underscores CLSU's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community development. The 2025 AppliedHE ASEAN Rankings saw a notable increase in participation, featuring 100 public and 100 private universities from across the ASEAN region. #SievingForExcellence #CLSUGoingGlobal

The recent typhoon brought challenges to Central Luzon State University, leaving visible signs of its impact across the campus. The administration would like to express its sincere gratitude to the CLSU personnel and students who went above and beyond in assisting with the cleaning and clearing operations, as well as to those in the kitchen who prepared meals for our students.
