QS Asia University Rankings 2025 Recognizes CLSU among Top HEIs in SEA

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) continues to soar to new heights, achieving significant international recognition by securing the 153rd rank in Southeast Asia and placing within the 851-900 bracket in the prestigious Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) University Rankings 2025. QS evaluated 25 universities across the Philippines, ranking CLSU as the nation’s 18th leading institution. Notably, CLSU’s strongest asset was its Academic Reputation, followed by Employer Reputation, Faculty-Student Ratio, and International Faculty. This latest ranking reaffirms CLSU’s commitment to providing high-quality education and nurturing a dynamic research environment. The University’s faculty and students remain deeply engaged in groundbreaking research and developing innovative solutions to address global challenges. University President Evaristo A. Abella expressed his appreciation for the collective efforts that contributed to this significant achievement. “Let us continue to strive for excellence in all that we do, to push the boundaries of knowledge, and to inspire our students. Together, we celebrate this significant milestone and continue to collaborate in our pursuit of a brighter future for CLSU,” said President Abella. The 21st edition of the QS World University Rankings features 1,503 institutions from 104 countries, with a strong focus on metrics such as employability and sustainability.

CEn Produces 77 New Licensed Civil Engineers

The College of Engineering (CEn) produced a total of 77 licensed Civil Engineers which recorded an institutional passing rate of 35.65% in the recently concluded November 2024 Civil Engineering Licensure Exam administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). Among the passers, 68 are first-time takers while 9 are re-examiners. Meanwhile, on the national level, 6,835 out of 18,436 joined the roll of new licensed civil engineers. #SievingForExcellence

CLSU Receives ‘Outstanding eNGAS User Entity’ Award

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) was honored with the Outstanding eNGAS User Entity Award for 2024 during the GFMIC Membership Conference held on November 21, 2024, at the Crown Legacy Hotel in Baguio City. This year’s conference, themed “Elevating Innovation to New Heights,” recognized organizations excelling in financial management innovation. The Government Financial Management Innovators Circle (GFMIC), Inc. awarded CLSU for its outstanding use of the electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS), citing the University’s timely and accurate submission of all financial statements and reports for Calendar Year 2023. University President Evaristo A. Abella, Vice President for Administration Ariel G. Mactal, and Director of Financial Management Services Jinky A. Parugrug proudly received the award on behalf of CLSU. The event gathered officials and awardees from various government agencies across the nation, celebrating their contributions to advancing financial management practices.

CLSU, DBM R3 Facilitate Seminar-Workshop on Budget Preparation for SUCs in the Region

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU), in partnership with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) - Region III, hosted a two-day Seminar-Workshop on Skill Enhancement of SUCs in Region III on Budget Preparation, held on December 2-3, 2024, at the R&E Amphitheater. The seminar-workshop empowered the SUCs in Region III to develop an efficient and transparent budget preparation process that complies with the standards set by the Department of Budget and Management. In his welcome message, University President Evaristo A. Abella emphasized the importance of the said seminar-workshop, highlighting the role of SUCs in effect budget preparation and utilization. Furthermore, Ms. Gracela A. Ortiz, representing Ms. Rosalie C. Abesamis, the Regional Director, acknowledged the participants and expressed her appreciation for their attendance at the seminar. The workshop was attended by officials from DBM Region III along with University Presidents from various participating SUCs, including Dr. Abella, CLSU President; Dr. Renato G. Reyes, ASCOT President; Dr. Rhodora R. Jugo, NEUST President; Dr. Anita G. David, PSAU President; and Ms. Gracela A. Ortiz, Acting Assistant Regional Director of DBM Region III. Other key officials from the DBM Region III, Vice Presidents, and finance teams from various universities in the region were also present at the event.
