SANGKapp of Planadong Plato, Finalist at FLEx:PHD Contest

Sustainable Agriculture ‘N Gastronomic Knowledge App (SANGKApp) made it to the top 12 finalist of the Food is Life Exemplified: Mobile App Development Competition for Food is Life Exemplified for Planetary Health Diet. SANGKApp is a mobile application developed by the team Planadong Plato (PLA2) which was composed of Dr. Gella Patria L. Abella, the Head of Institute of Climate Change and Environmental Management (ICCEM), Dr. Judith P. Antonino, Dean of the College of Home Science and Industry (CHSI), Dr. Celyrah B. Castillo, Head of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Mr. Jomerick F. Domingo, faculty of the DHMT and, Ms. Marycris A. Manalang, faculty of the Department of Information Technology of the College of Engineering. With them is Mr. Clarence Luther Bulanadi, founder of Youmanitarian International. The mobile app competition aims to promote planetary health diet as an optimal regime for the protection of people and the planet. The goal of this advocacy is to pave the way for sustainable food system that focuses on a person’s diet while maintaining the health of the planet. The competition was led by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), in partnership with the National Academy of Science and Technology of the Philippines (NAST PHL) and the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD). The Grand Finals and Pitching was help at SEARCA, Los Banos last June 28, 2023.

CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.

CLSU Maintains Strong Global Standing, Ranks 69th in 2025 AppliedHE

In the latest edition of the AppliedHE Public and Private University rankings, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reaffirmed its strong global standing by securing the 69th position in ASEAN Region and the 4th rank among public universities in the Philippines. CLSU has been recognized for its high ratings in key areas, including Employability, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Cutting-Edge Research, Community Engagement, Internationalization, and Institutional Reputation. This accomplishment underscores CLSU's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community development. AFTERMATH AT CLSU | Restore and Rebuild

The recent typhoon brought challenges to Central Luzon State University, leaving visible signs of its impact across the campus. These photos highlight the resilience of the CLSU community as we come together to restore and rebuild.
