SEKDER Seminar Ignites Leadership Spirit in CLSU Students

To rekindle the leadership spirit within the CLSU Students, the University Supreme Student Council (USSC) organized the leadership seminar entitled "SEKDER: Steering Excellence through Knowledge, Development, and Empowered Rights" on August 14, 2024 at the CLSU Auditorium. The event featured prominent leaders in the university, including Ms. Alojone V. Viterbo, a former student leader, and Vivencio Saulong Awardee, as well as Dr. Roy Searca Jose P. Dela Cruz, Faculty Regent and Acting Dean of the College of Engineering, who shared their valuable leadership experiences and insights to inspire emerging student leaders. Meanwhile, one of the guest speakers at the event was Atty. Jose Manuel "Chel" Diokno, Chairperson of the Free Legal Assistance Group (FLAG), wherein he broadens the knowledge of students on "Freedom of Expression on Campus: The Role of Students in Upholding Justice and Equality." In his talk, he underscored the importance of protecting freedom of expression within academic settings and society. He highlighted the crucial role that students play in advocating for justice and equality quoting “Ang pwersa ng Kabataan ang Kapangyarihan ng Bayan”. The event also included a prerecorded video message from Former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan and Senator Ana Theresia “Risa” Hontiveros, who delivered inspiring messages to the CLSU community. Over 1,000 students participated in the seminar, demonstrating their enthusiasm to be a key mover of change, excellence, and empowerment.

CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.

CLSU Maintains Strong Global Standing, Ranks 69th in 2025 AppliedHE

In the latest edition of the AppliedHE Public and Private University rankings, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reaffirmed its strong global standing by securing the 69th position in ASEAN Region and the 4th rank among public universities in the Philippines. CLSU has been recognized for its high ratings in key areas, including Employability, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Cutting-Edge Research, Community Engagement, Internationalization, and Institutional Reputation. This accomplishment underscores CLSU's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community development. The 2025 AppliedHE ASEAN Rankings saw a notable increase in participation, featuring 100 public and 100 private universities from across the ASEAN region. #SievingForExcellence #CLSUGoingGlobal

AFTERMATH AT CLSU | Restore and Rebuild

The recent typhoon brought challenges to Central Luzon State University, leaving visible signs of its impact across the campus. These photos highlight the resilience of the CLSU community as we come together to restore and rebuild. The administration would like to express its sincere gratitude to the CLSU personnel and students who went above and beyond in assisting with the cleaning and clearing operations, as well as to those in the kitchen who prepared meals for our students.
