Two BS IT Students advance in the ASEAN Data Science Explorers 2022

Team CLSU Green Cobras composed of two BS Information Technology (IT) students, Mr. Ralph Laurence Castro and Mr. Noaim Piti-Ilan represented the university in the qualifying round of the ASEAN Data Science Explorers (DSE) competition. The CLSU team submitted a storyboard entitled “Union & Innovation of Farmers and Fisherfolks: Key to Agri Modernization and Industrialization for a Sustainable ASEAN Nation.  The storyboard  envisions to help double the income of farmers and fisherfolks in the Agriculture and Aquaculture sectors of the ASEAN Community by utilizing data analytics to uplift the efforts of farmers and fisherfolks to help cushion the impact of the global food crisis.  The entry of CLSU Green Cobras secured a spot in the Top 10. The National Finals will be held on August 23, 2022 wherein participants will present their output and defend their ideas, strategies, and solutions on a particular title or topic.  Other competing universities include the University of the Philippines Diliman (UP Diliman), Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), De La Salle University (DLSU), Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP), and Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST). The ASEAN DSE 2022 competition organized by the ASEAN Foundation and SAP Asia Pte Ltd. aims to promote ASEAN awareness, achieve the United Nations – Sustainable  Development Goals (UN-SDGs), empower youth across the 10 ASEAN Member states with data analytics and other relevant skills, and inspire youths across the ASEAN region to take part in pressing socio-economic issues across the region through data-driven proposals that will contribute to the achievement of the UN-SDGs within the region.

CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.

CLSU Maintains Strong Global Standing, Ranks 69th in 2025 AppliedHE

In the latest edition of the AppliedHE Public and Private University rankings, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reaffirmed its strong global standing by securing the 69th position in ASEAN Region and the 4th rank among public universities in the Philippines. CLSU has been recognized for its high ratings in key areas, including Employability, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Cutting-Edge Research, Community Engagement, Internationalization, and Institutional Reputation. This accomplishment underscores CLSU's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community development. AFTERMATH AT CLSU | Restore and Rebuild

The recent typhoon brought challenges to Central Luzon State University, leaving visible signs of its impact across the campus. These photos highlight the resilience of the CLSU community as we come together to restore and rebuild. The administration would like to express its sincere gratitude to the CLSU personnel and students who went above and beyond in assisting with the cleaning and clearing operations, as well as to those in the kitchen who prepared meals for our students.
