VetMed Student Receives P250K Scholarship

Mr. Aldenn Mar Asuncion, a 6th year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) student from the College of Veterinary Science and Medicine (CVSM) received a ?250,000 worth of scholarship from Brookside Group of Companies on September 4, 2023.    Asuncion, together with his parents, formally received the grant in an event organized by the Brookside Group of Companies executives held in Bamban, Tarlac. The scholarship grant will cover his monthly expenses while he is enrolled in the DVM program, as well as his allowance and payment for his board exam review after graduation.   “I learned about the scholarship program in a Facebook post advertised by the Brookside FB page which was open to all DVM students all over the country. I submitted all the requirements and attended a series of interviews before receiving the message that I was chosen as the recipient of the scholarship,” Asuncion said.   The scholarship program is one of the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives of the Brookside Group through the Antonio and Carolina Ho Foundation, Inc. popularly known as “Brookside Foundation”. The company offers scholarships for incoming 4th or 6th year of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students which cover financial assistance including tuition, book allowance, transportation expenses, monthly living allowance, and other fees for one year.

CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.

CLSU Maintains Strong Global Standing, Ranks 69th in 2025 AppliedHE

In the latest edition of the AppliedHE Public and Private University rankings, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reaffirmed its strong global standing by securing the 69th position in ASEAN Region and the 4th rank among public universities in the Philippines. This accomplishment underscores CLSU's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community development.
